Fifth and sixth graders from Jefferson Elementary showcased their determination and athleticism at the Annual John Convertino & Santo Paniccia Cross Country Meet, held at Proctor Park on October 8. Competing against students from nine other Utica elementary schools, Jefferson's young athletes delivered an impressive performance in the one-mile race. 

Leading the boys' team was sixth grader Mason Roman Rodriguez, who placed an outstanding 7th out of 123 runners with a swift time of 7:15.6. On the girls' side, sixth grader Valentina Kecan demonstrated her endurance and strength, finishing 22nd out of 121 runners with a time of 9:20.3. Her performance added to Jefferson's spirited presence at the event.

The Jefferson Junior Raiders ran with heart, pride and sportsmanship. Congratulations to all the student-athletes for their hard work and dedication!
