Utica City Schools Volunteer Reader Program Celebrates 56 Years

For 56 years, the Utica City School District’s Volunteer Reader Program has brought community members and students together through the joy of reading.

Each week, dedicated volunteers visit schools throughout the district to read with students, share their love of books and create meaningful connections that extend beyond the pages of a story.

As the District celebrates another year of this beloved program, it is also celebrating a special milestone. The District’s longest-serving volunteer reader has dedicated an incredible 25 years to the program!

The TJTV Crew recognized the volunteers through a special broadcast. The crew extends a heartfelt thank-you to all of the volunteer readers for sharing their time, kindness and love of reading with Utica students. Your continued dedication makes a lasting difference in the lives of our students.
